Company Description

!
True Craft Board Co. is a company that has been built and created from a simple idea: To produce custom, quality boards. When a young boarder goes into a shop to buy his first cruiser, very seldom will he find solace in the factory made, computer generated graphic, cookie cutter boards. Every rider is different, therefore ever board should be. The idea to bring quality craftsmanship coupled with the finest art to the long boarding community was born by a group of friends. The dream and vision is to have buyers order boards by talking personally with the craftsman and artist to have get the board they want. Custom details include the shape, wood striping, length, the color of wheels and style of paint job. No board will have a duplicate. Yes, it will take more time on the part of True Craft, but that’s what we believe people will want. We hope that parents will be able to give their children custom boards designed by them for their kids. The opportunities are endless! Also, the custom, hand painted art work on each board will allow us to present them in different settings and cultures. You can see our boards in places such as art walks, art shows and special festivals all over the state. Now, the long boarding sport will not be limited to board shops and skate parks. Everyone will come to know the beauty of quality and custom work. Individuality is key, thus the owners of the company contribute their personal

Myers: I would drive through Boise every year on my way to Alaska. I am heavily into kayaking and Idaho is one of my favorite places to do it. The North Fork of the Salmon has some amazing wilderness runs. When I was looking for a place to move to, Boise kept coming up. I was looking for a space to build boards, and I loved the vibe the North End of Boise had. It’s perfect, you have access to the outdoors, and it’s a real town, not just a tourist place. So I set up shop, and now we’ve been open for three years.…
