Grant,

Thanks for the offer. I am not aware of who else is running for the delegation, but cannot imagine a better choice.

Mail delivery by camel is long gone in my neck of the woods (desert) and use of the Internet has replaced ineffecient communications like post and smoke signals. The world is changing at a fast pace and most of us do not live like Homer Simpson and work a 9-5 job that consists of checking the mail on a daily basis.

A wise old man once told me that "you have to embrace change. Change or die." It sounds a little extreme and probably taken from the teachings of Darwin. Nevertheless, he is correct. Our Bylaws must keep up with the needs of our Union or we will be caught out.

I do live in a place very far from

The invention of the internet and email has affected the postal service tremendously. In the article written by Daniel Stone, he suggests that the USPS gives you your own email address that they take care of. People always have the option to go elsewhere for email but this is a good way for the United State Post Office to expand their technology. This also creates the option of advertisements which gives the USPS more revenue from the email service. People go to the internet because it is easier and faster to communicate. But if they choose to create email it will bring the ways of communication back to the government and provided the office more jobs and money.…

Death is the equalizer of human kind, no matter if you are dirt poor or if you have all the money in the world. Death will find you and you will exhale your last ever breath. Two stories that take a look at death in two completely different ways are Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" and George Clayton Johnson's "nothing in the Dark." Both may seem to have nothing in common, but taking a closer look reveals many important similarities between "The Masque of the Red Death" and "Nothing in the Dark," settings, protagonists, and antagonists.…

Since the world has become technology based, less snail mail is being delivered. In 2009, there was twenty-six billion less pieces of mail delivered than in the previous year. This suggests that if the United States Postal Service does not adapt to the new electronic age, they could eventually go bankrupt. Source C reinforces this claim by arguing that changes are necessary after “the Postal Service experienced a 13 percent drop in mail volume last fiscal year, more than double any previous decline, and lost $3.8 billion.” Eliminating saturday deliveries and merging post offices together will help save some of this money…

Employment laws play a critical role in human resources management strategies and in an organization operation. Employee laws are design to protect the employees by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) “ federal enforcement agency enacted to ensure that employers follow and abide by rules set forth in the Civil Rights Acts of 1964”(Web Finance, 2012). However, the act insisted of “people should be given the same opportunities and equal changes to obtain employment regardless of their color, race, gender, national origin, or religion” (Stewart & Brown, 2012, pg. 80).…

    Workplace Ethical Dilema

Ethical dilemmas can occur at any workplace. For this reason, codes of ethics are developed to help guide and set the standards for moral conduct for that profession. Code of ethics also helps establish procedures on how to deal with misconduct. While serving in the United States Navy, I came across several ethical dilemmas in my workplace. One dilemma that I remember clearly is one in which an officer (higher rank) and enlisted (lower rank) were involved in fraternization. Fraternization in the Navy is not acceptable and is referred to as a relationship between an enlisted and officer who are dating, who engage in intimate behavior, share a home, borrow money or gamble. Fraternization in the military can be punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.…
