I see a distorted reflection off of a one way window opposite my cell and see a hanging corpse surrounded by officers with one hacking at the makeshift rope with a knife. The body drops and instantly is overwhelmed with officers trying to gradually slither the lifeless body into the bag. The officers tracked past my cell carrying the slumped bag with 2 officers on each side for the corpses final journey. Another life taken by the cruel nature of the penal system. The surrounding prisoners in C block are intoxicated with excitement making me wonder if i’m the only sane human in this dreadful place. For the next 20 minutes an extensive amount of CO’s and Detectives flock to the site of that horrific event. I felt an overwhelming sense of relief that the incident is over and start to relax in my cramped concrete cell. I hear a guard shout through the muffled intercom “Open on cell 56”. I instantly know that it’s the cell from the occurrence. A small what looked like a teenager walks slowly down the smooth walkway with an escort of guards. Handcuffs rattling, dragging his foot chain along the ground towards the previously occupied cell. A guard then slides the key into the back of his cuffs and shoves the kid into the corner of the cell. That’s the last glimpse I see of the guy before the guard yells “Close on cell
