CW3 Gannon has been recognized as a top performer on all end of course critics for his flight instruction, and furthermore was recognized as the Fort Rucker Instructor Pilot of the Quarter and Instructor Pilot of the Year (FY16). CW3 Gannon’s tireless work ethic and dedication to duty has enabled him to successfully forecast personnel and equipment which were instrumental in the development of Echo Company’s first UH-60M section. Within in the last 3 years alone, CW3 Gannon’s section conducted over 3 Ranger missions assigned by USAACE’s, providing training for over 56 flight school students while transporting over 792 rangers, using 6 UH-60M aircraft in support of ranger school without incident or injury.
His planning and guidance provided the BN with the much needed subject matter knowledge resulting in no Ranger mission failures or delays. CW3 Gannon delivered key mission success for both the US Army Ranger School, and Flight School
XXI.
CW3 Gannon Volunteered as youth softball coach, instilling values of teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship to the youth of USAACE and the surrounding communities. Enhanced spiritual readiness of families of USAACE and the surrounding communities by playing as percussionist in contemporary worship services, including numerous Holiday-centered community activities. CW3 Gannon’s keen insight and creative ability allowed him to continue his civilian education, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Aeronautics.
