Cal State San Bernardino is a public university and one of the twenty-three general campuses of the California State University system. The main campus sits on 441 acres and there is also a Palm Dessert Campus. The university is organized into six academic colleges: College of Arts and Letters, College of Business and Public Administration, College of Education, College of Extended Learning, College of Natural Sciences, and College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The school is based on quarters and each quarter is of ten weeks plus finals week. Classes can begin as early as eight in the morning and end at nine at night. Saturday classes are also available. In order to apply to this college, you need to have your academic GPA and the SAT or ACT which are required.
This college consists of mostly Latinos and women. Fifty three percent are Latino, twenty percent are White, eight percent are Black/African American, and six percent are Asian. Only thirty eight percent of the school is men and the rest are women. Ninety nine percent of the students are in state. Many people commute but there are many housing options. There are the freshman dorms known as the Serrano Village, there are apartments that are coed or for international students, there is also women’s housing, Arrowhead Village and University Village are other dorms for students. If you live in Serrano Village you are required to buy a meal plan, but the best part of it
