Call Me
Call Me Maybe Lyric

I threw a wish in the well,
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
I looked to you as it fell,
And now you're in my way
I'd trade my soul for a wish,
Pennies and dimes for a kiss
I wasn't looking for this,
But now you're in my way
Your stare was holdin',
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
You took your time with the call,
I took no time with the fall
You gave me nothing at all,
But still, you're in my way
I beg, and borrow and steal
Have foresight and it's real
I didn't know I would feel it,
But it's in my way
Your stare was holdin',
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad
I missed you so, so bad
Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
And you should know that
I missed you so, so bad
It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?
Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad
I missed you so, so bad
Before you came into my life
I missed

I chose the book, “Knock Me Up, Knock Me Down,” by Kelly Oliver. She points out her view that pregnancy was once looked upon as shameful in the middle nineteenth century, but because of Hollywood films, we are now able to change the way of how society use to think about it. Because of Hollywood films, pregnancy is now looked as beautiful and cute, but it also shows our fear of pregnancy.…

The way a person expresses his or her love to another person should not bother other people. In the article “I Just Called to Say I Love you” by Jonathan Franzen he clearly states that he hates hearing other people saying the words I love you to another person. He believes that the privacy of others should be kept to themselves and their personal feelings should not be said out loud in public places. Although this may be true there are also other perspectives of how one can handle situations like of expressing feelings when they occur. Not only is the expression I love you the only way of expressing ones feelings for another but there are many other forms of love that are expressed in public places that really should not matter to others if they are happening. People should have the right to express their feelings without others getting offended or caring at all for that matter.…

I am doing this first short paper on language and social identity. “Language is a systematic set of symbols and signs with learned and shared meanings within a culture”. It can be written, spoken, and with gestures or signs. This article is about how language shapes culture in a variety of ways. Language is the key component to a culture, without it there is no culture. Every culture has their own language, each of us might speak differently but doesn’t necessarily mean we think differently. In education, is mainly where we learn the language in whatever culture you’re from. We are taught how to speak since 2 years old and in that that’s how we are identified on what language we use. I as an American we are taught to try to speak more than one language, that’s why there offer course at school to learn to different language like Spanish or French. From experience I believe that learning another language is hard because not only you have to learn the language you have to learn the culture. So I believe it goes hand and hand with each other. You’re identified on how you look and what language you speak. “Culture refers to people’s learned and shared behaviors and beliefs”. So what is a language? A language is learned by a group of certain people and shared by a certain group of people. That is culture. Languages, of course, are human creations, tools we invent and hone to suit our needs. Simply showing that speakers of different languages think differently doesn't tell us whether it's language that shapes thought or the other way around. As we uncover how languages and their speakers differ from one another, we discover that human natures too can differ dramatically, depending on the languages we speak. Language is the single most important thing in a culture and how do we learn it,…
