Call Of Duty Research Paper
I think that all servicemen and women should be able to keep their dog that had been with them. In my opinion they have been with them the whole time while deployed whether it is a couple weeks or 6 months. When a serviceman or woman gets injured that is the last thing they need to worry about is if the dog that was by their side while getting hurt is ok and has a great new owner! So therefore is a good reason why they should be kept. These people have already spent months with these dogs training them and taking great care of them but after they have gotten hurt the dog is taken away. According to passage “Call of Duty” people say that nothing really ever felt right without their dog.

How would you feel if your dog that

Organizing police departments in a militaristic manner is a theory that contends to lessen corruption amongst the police officers within the department. Depending on how stringent the military model is followed, a police department could have a well functioning system or it could create quite the opposite and develop a department full of corruption, chaos, and mismanagement. Because a department uses the military as a model to develop itself, it does not mean that it is foolproof. Many factors outside of organizing can lead to a well-balanced department or a department as involved in crime as the criminals from which they swore to protect the public. Using a hierarchy of command in departments gives a sense of stability, it delegates responsibilities and it has a person who is…

The book American Sniper is written by Chris Kyle that is a captivating, thrilling, and very dramatic autobiography that follows his life as he turns from a bustin’ broncos cowboy into the deadliest sniper in U.S. history with over 160 confirmed kills. Chris was born in Odessa, Texas on April 8, 1984 and was truly the definition of a patriot. He loved the country he grew up in and that motivated him to enlist as a Navy Seal in 1999. When reading his book it was brought to my attention just how much soldier's sacrifice when going off to war. The stakes really are higher than just their individual life, for almost all of them have people who are relying on them back home, because not only is their duty to their country but also to their families.…

The Virginia Tech Massacre was one of the deadliest shooting incidents by a single gunman (MSNC). With a bright future ahead, Reema Samaha was an 18 year-old freshman on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. Physically beautiful, excellent academic performance, proud of her Lebanese culture, future graduate of international studies and a minor in French, talented contemporary dancer, full of life, but a killer decided to end her life on April 16, 2007 ("We Remember: biographies"). She was murdered among 32 other students and staff. She was trapped in her French class with no gun with which to protect herself. Guns on campus should be allowed based on “the right to bear arms” authorized in the United States Constitution, the increasing violence on campus, the impossible mission to protect all the students by campus police, and the “Gun-Free Zone” sticker that attracts the killers.…

I do not agree with the reinstitution of a military draft. In 1973 the military draft was lifted in the United States and with good reason. The United States should not rely on a draft to fill military vacancies but rely on recruitment. It is true that the military offers incentives and luxuries that some civilians could not afford otherwise such as food, shelter, and medical care. However, they are just that, incentives. The military is an option and should remain that way. Many enlist for different reasons, some with economical reasons, others with strong political urges, but they enlist out of their own desires, beliefs, and more importantly, free will. Some see the military as a way of life; others see it as the only way to educate themselves in a society where education is valued so highly. With rising tuition costs, many enlist in the reserves as a guarantee for their degree. College is costly and even with the aid of tuition assistance and can leave a graduate drowning in debt. These are all choices all college bound 18-25 year olds make and some just do not have the luxury of choosing.…

"Video Game Violence Law Poses Questions", is an editorial located in the online magazine V Planet. Vance Velez, the author of the controversial issue, opposes the Washington law involving specific forms of video game violence, which is on the verge of being passed in the Legislature. He successfully persuades his audience that the Washington law limits people’s rights and that they should take a stand against the proposed law. His audience includes people who are in favor of the Washington law, concerned parents, and adult video gamers that oppose the Washington law, who are, in his definition, those 18 or older. Those who are in favor of the law may include politicians, or mothers who can relate to influential violence…

Yes I do believe that the military will be excepting of a culture changes. The culture of the military is forever going to be changing. It may not be as great as desegregation, woman’s rights, or as great as the LGBT movement. The world is changing and if you do not change with it you fall behind. I think the military is more open to change now than it was back in war ll. I do believe the military we able to handle the culture changes that it counters in the present and future. Because of what we've learned with in our own country. This will benefit us when learning other cultures around the world. We have never fight a war in our own country. So we should be open to new cultures if we are going to be in other countries. So times I think that the United States thinks it’s the only country in the world and that other people do not matter. Life outside the states if very different and uncommon to us. If we do not know their culture then how are we to understand who they are, what they believe in and why are they are fighting. This will help the goal of the military if the soldiers are well educated in the culture that they are fighting against. In many of the videos we watched in class a number of times the soldiers were talking to the local people. This is where I think educating the soldiers really…
