The British fled to Canada and after suffering many defeats from the americans in their revolution, but Britan still defeated the french to cease control of the country. They let many French civilians stay under British rule. Thats were much of Canada’s rich French heritage comes from. Then in 1837 the people of Canada started a rebellion against British.
