“When compared to a century ago, Canadians today are healthier, happier and more connected”. Canadians today are healthier and more connected than a century ago; yet not everyone is happier. Technology has increased the ability to save lives, and cure many diseases that could have been fatal a century ago. Society today has improved technology and knowledge of how to help people. For example, medicine can build a limb from scratch, and burn victims can get new skin made for them. Also, technology helps people get more connected to each other through social media and communication apps such as Face-time. These platforms help individuals to find others with similar interests, and talk to them no matter where they are in the world. Happiness
