How to test the variable is to burn a scented and unscented candle at the same time and see witch candle burned the quickest. There wasn’t any flaws in this experiment. When changing this experiment use different brands, scents or waxes and see which one would burns faster. The results were the unscented candle burned faster but they both burned at the same speed rate so it doesn’t really matter too much. Other brands could change the effect of the burn rate than other brands that are out there and they may also be made differently. There are more than one wax and that might change the burn rate of the candles. Some waxes may last longer than others. One thing that can be change the candle scents and see if that has any effect on the burning rate of the candle. There were no flaws in this experiment but if there were they would be the simplest things like, not pushing the timer, setting the timer wrong, and not doing it correctly.

quicker is false .All candles burn at the same speed rate. Some key words not everyone understands are cap·il·lar·y: It is a tube that had an internal diameter, hair like thickness and a lot like the wick. Wick: A bundle of loose soft threads woven together typically made out of cotton and used in candles lamps or oil stoves. va·por·ize: A substance diffused in the air that normally happens to liquid or solids so the wax vaporizes when it reaches the wick and go’s into the air witch spreads and makes the area smell good. Wax: It’s also called beeswax, it’s full of fats and oils made by bees, and it’s a plastic substance when warmed and melted. The candles used in this experiment are made with 100 percent cotton wicks and burn at the same speed. Mainstay candles are the same throughout and highly fragranced and will provide exceptional vibrant color. Candles are burned in a very unique way. See when the wick of a candle is lit, the heat from the flame will melt the wax surrounding the wick. The melted wax will be absorbed by the wick and the capillary action will pull the wax upwards. When the wax approaches the flame, it will start to vaporize and the vaporized wax will start to burn. The wick itself will not burn. They are normally made from paraffin wax with a wick in the middle. Candles can also be made from soy wax or other plant wax, animal fat or bee wax. Wax acts as a fuel to keep the candle burning. The wick has to be an absorbent twine with strong capillary ability. Candle manufacturers produce both scented and unscented candles. Common scents used in candles include kitchen aromas such as vanilla, fruit scents, flower scents, spa scents like green tea and ocean breeze. Candles are also found in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Candles are a convenient way of providing light and heat when no electricity is available.
