An argument into why criminals need to be punished in severity to their crimes.
Capital Punishment. Judicial Execution. The Death Penalty. All different ways to say "True Justice." The Modern Justification system is simply not working and there needs to be change! Change is the only way that society can be hauled from this prison of crime that it had purged itself in to, by denying this, are you saying that what is happening on the streets and behind closed doors today is right? Are you saying that people being killed, just because of the color of their skin, is right? Are you saying that you could live every day, knowing that there is someone out there, willing to harm any innocent bystander, your children, your family, your friends, that there is someone out there, being harmed, because a threat is still out there?
The fact remains that criminals are simply not being punished in severity to their crimes! They're not afraid of the consequences, so they have nothing to stop them from committing any unlawful acts. All, and only, guilty people need to be punished sufficiently because real justice requires people to suffer for and understand their wrongdoing. Criminals need to understand the suffering, agony and pain- both mental and physical- that they inflicted upon their victims. That those innocent people endured because of them. However, you could argue that retribution to crimes other than murder do not mimic the action that was inflicted, and that is correct, so the sufficient punishment for each crime should be the same crime that they committed, but inflicted upon the criminal to a possible extent. For example, rapists should have their genitals removed, and the words "guilty of rape" tattooed across their foreheads in red ink and all those guilty of neglect should be placed in an empty room and left to their thoughts without food, water, or sanitary requirements, till the point where they are
