Car Buying

Car buying should be an important and fun time. You get to try out all the new cars, see what you like and what you don’t like. It is very time consuming so you have to make sure you are ready for that. Doesn’t matter if is your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd car, it is still fun and you want to make sure you make the right decision. You want to make sure the salesman isn’t a grimy one and knows what he is talking about because you are about to make a huge investment. You may want to start off by narrowing down what type of car you want and go to either that dealership be it Toyota, Nissan, Ford etc. Try picking out the types of cars you want, again this is very time consuming so unless you have plenty of time to look around try narrowing it down. The car business is a huge business and unless you have someone with you who knows what they are talking about chances are someone may try and take advantage of you. Car buying should be fun, because you get to test drive quite a few cars to see which one you would like more than the other. When I went to buy my car I went to CarMax over on Fountainhead because that was where I bought my Toyota Camry and you get a variety of cars not just one type. The salesman I had was awesome, I wasn’t sure at the time which type of car I wanted, I just knew I wanted something that would hold its value in case I wanted to trade it in later. I finally decided between two cars Nissan Murano and Toyota Camry , I myself wanted the Murano but my cousin who was giving me the money for the vehicle thought that the Camry was a better fit for me as well a great car so since he was paying Camry won. I was in a car accident in October 2012, and totaled my car, lady ran into me head on. Since my car was totaled I had to go look for another one so since I was so happy with the people at CarMax I decided to go back. I went to Fountainhead again but had the worst salesman

CarMax, founded in 1993, was created to provide an enhanced option for both purchasing and selling a used vehicle. Their advantages were small; no haggle costing, large selections, enhanced funding options and a sales team dedicated to work with potential clients. Also, they would also make a strong bid on any vehicle they were presented with. They were able to this because they were not dependent on consumers selling to them; their main interest was the consumer buying one from them. CarMax sudden rise to the top almost came down very quickly. Due the recession that the country was experiencing, the demand for cars of any sort dropped. This could have damaged CarMax sales immediately.…

Another peer-reviewed article was in regards to the searching strategies people used before actually purchasing a new vehicle. Not everyone can walk into a dealership and know exactly what they are looking for in their price range and it is readily available. That is why most people before purchasing a vehicle use a strategy before purchasing. Not everyone’s search strategies are the same, not everyone is looking for the exact type of vehicle. Some automobile companies sent out surveys to some of their customers for a 3 month span to see how satisfied they were with the new vehicles and what the new vehicle may not have had that the consumer would have liked. When the surveys were returned they categorized the responses to see where improvements could be made to accommodate more people.…

There are three types of ways to buy a car: cash, lease, and most common, financing. If you can afford cash, that is the best way to buy. It will be the cheapest and you have 100% equity in the car, it is all yours. The only downfall is that it can deplete your banking account. In the long run, buying with cash the cheapest and easiest way to buy a car. Another type of way to buy a car is financing or taking a loan. This is the most common way Americans buy a car. The car buyer makes monthly payments which means you slowly gain equity. Financing your car help keeps your savings intact, you will eventually own your car, and with a decent credit score you can get a decent deal. But on the contrary, you will not own the car fully for awhile, you still have to pay 10%-15% down, and with a low credit score it will be a higher loan. The third and final way to buy a car is leasing. Leasing is often conceived as a terrible way to buy a car. This is not true. Like any way to buy a car, there are pros and cons. When leasing you get a new car every couple of years(Hearn). The car buyer has no worries about resale. No down payment, and often get very good warranties which could save the consumer a lot of money(Hearn). Also if you use the car for work, there is potential for tax deductions. But when leasing a car there is no equity. At the end of the contract the car is gone and what…
