Car Radio By Twenty One Pilots: Song Analysis
I chose the song “Car Radio” by Twenty One Pilots because it is very poetic and notes the fragility of human existence. My choosing of the song also came from its popularity and ability to resonant with a crowd. I practiced by memorizing the song, timing myself, trying varying tempo and pitch. I also practiced with varying levels of chattel going on from working over the sound of the television and the cacophony of hammers from the work that was going on outside my house. When I woke up on the morning of the speech, I was fine. When I got to school, I was fine. When I was in homeroom, I realized what I had do and I was suddenly less fine. I was extremely anxious when I came into class and dare I say afraid to speak. Towards the end of class,

My song that I chose is Centuries by Fall Out Boys, because 8th grade felt like it was centuries long. One relation between 8th grade and the song can be seen in the line “just one mistake, is all it will take”, which is how I felt about almost every test throughout the year. I felt with mostly Bs in my classes, a few mistakes could make or break my grade, which may not have been the intended meaning of the line. "Just one mistake, is all it will take" to get you killed, well... maybe I wouldn't be dead but my grade certainly would be.…

This song by Red Hot Chilli Peppers discusses the way of how it feels “on the road” and how it colartes between oneself juxtaposed to the U.S. road. It perfectly represents my topic of going outside and seeing the greater landscapes of my community and witnessing events I always wanted to explore. “Road Trippin” shows my journey that I wish can do during this semester or try to experience in the future after high school and college. Places I wish to travel to in the coming years of my adult life during college or after college. How those feelings can change who I am and how it can relate to the negative feelings I feel inside to how those feelings can be changed.…

This essay will be a very memorable one as it was based on music and analyzing it. I chose the song “Civil War” by one of my favorite bands, Guns N’ Roses. Analyzing the song was very interesting as I had listened to it several times but I never paid that much attention to every word sung, until now. Therefore, I understood more about the song and made me figure out a deeper meaning that I never knew was there. At the beginning of writing the assignment it was fairly challenging but as soon as I realized where I wanted to go with this essay it gradually became easier. I hope that more essays to come incorporate music as it was almost motivating to do solely based on the reason that it was songs and bands that one appreciates.…

The song I chose is “Help Is on The Way” by Rise Against, a punk rock band. I like a lot of the songs by then not only because they sound good but they also sing about problems and issues in our society today and “Help Is on The Way” is no different. The band is also very proactive in promoting activism with this song does very well especially alongside the music video. I chose this song because it has a strong meaning and is about issues that had occurred that most people already know the background to and I thoroughly enjoy the song itself.…

The song Rong Radio song by Benjamin Zephaniah was very interesting, and effective bringing up important issues that are all over the world, in very few words. I found this song interesting because it made me consider, how know matter where we live or who we are, we are still vulnerable to hear, see, read and write stereotypes and racism about ourselves and others. “I was beginning to believe that all black men are bad men.” -This shows us that sometimes when we are being influenced to believe things about one another, we start to consider what we have been told and whether it is true, creating cruel and false reputations, for ourselves and others.…

Any middle schooler needs music to get through the tough times, but look no further for the song currently hyping up an eighth grade year. DJ Cassidy wrote “Kill the lights” with what I like to believe is a logical connection between my most memorable experiences in the dreaded last middle school grade! Kill the lights is the perfect representation of my year because meeting new people with new experiences shined through this song, re-living MME sponsored events seem so surreal through most lyrics, and it perfectly captures my emotions from MHS performance dance tryouts. “Let's live our life, tomorrow doesn't always come Don't try to hide, let's have some fun” this is when the song starts to almost pick up and it totally explains the excitement…

I have been talking to my Mom about Hip Hop songs she has listened to, and after listening to some, I heard one that was quite interesting. This song, Don’t Fight the Feeling, by Too $hort. The song follows Too $hort, and his efforts to seduce Barbie, a women from the rap group The Danger Zone, whom is just not down to be his toy. This song is very explicit, but has its own charm to it, in very weird way.…

I learned that what I am suffering from is adjustment disorder. Adjustment Disorder, sometimes called situational depression, occurs when an individual is unable to adjust or cope with a particular stress or a major life event. My major life event of course was moving to Columbus to partake in one of the most challenging academic curriculums. It wasn’t the difficulty of my classes that led to my rapid decline in academic performance as it was more so the rise of stress coupled with my…

The duo, Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West who call themselves Oh Wonder, is based in London and came out with their first album on September 4, 2015. Gucht and West were determined to release one song each month for a year and “All We Do” was one of the songs they decided to release as another step towards their goal. Through a combination of emotional lyrics and heartfelt music, the song “All We Do” effectively conveys the message that we need to start living the way we want to and stop creating façades to cower from reality. The overall structure of “All We Do” presents a repetitive, but coherent approach for individuals to be able to uncover the underlying themes and message from Oh Wonder’s lyrics.…

Between these three interpretations of the "The Drinking Song", there were many differences in the overall theme, along with the attitude of the characters within the performance. Throughout all of the performances, the goal of the main male character did not change; he was constantly attempting to gain the interest of the main female character. Though the attitude of the main male character did not change, it was seen that the attitude of the female character did. In the first piece, the female character seemed to have an interest in the male character from beginning to end.…

Even though I didn’t sense it at the time of my health storm this statement in verse 3 summarizes things perfectly well. “The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.” I really enjoy listening to the U2 album ‘Songs of Innocence’ for a number of reasons. One song called The Troubles has this incredible chorus which repeats “Somebody stepped inside your soul, somebody else is in control”.[6] I think the idea behind it may have been lifted directly from Psalm 138:3.…

Lee Brice has been called one of the most promising new voices in country. As a boy Lee wanted to be a football player like his father. That was a short lived plan because he ended up injuring his arm his senior year. He had to have cartilage removed from his arm and that ended his sports career. Lee Brice was working on his civil engineering degree when he decided to follow his dream instead. He spent his spring break in Nashville checking out the town and its possibilities. During his visit to Nashville he met songwriter and producer Doug Johnson. Doug Johnson told Lee “I see that you love music with every bone in your body, so unless you love civil engineering as much you love music, you need to be here.” That is all it took, Lee left Clemson that summer and headed to Nashville. Lee sharpened his songwriting, played at songwriting circles. It took him six years to finish his first album Love like crazy. Lee is engaged to be married this year. His fiance is longtime girlfriend Sara Reeveley. They have a son named Takoda. Lee and Sara have know each other around fourteen years. Lee plans on taking a month off for his wedding and honeymoon.Lee Brice has lots of great songs on his albums. Two of his best albums are his first album Love you like crazy and Hard to love .It took him six years to write the first album called Love you like crazy.
