Car Radio Poem Analysis

This may come as a surprise to many but poetry and songs are in fact the same. The two I am comparing; “The Sacred” by Stephen Dunn and “ Car Radio” by Twenty-One Pilots have many similarities and differences, literary device wise, that develop the theme in both verses. Each one shows the importance,benefits and dangers of isolation and its ability to change a person for better for worse In both poems, they each bring up sacred places [mostly cars] but through this description, they set up the mood which can be correlated with the theme. In the song, it suggests that it has a mood of anger which can be both heard throughout the music video and can be interpreted through lyrics, but the mood doesn’t stay consistent and eventually changes
