Performance management is a continuous process of communicating and clarifying an employee’s responsibilities, priorities and expectations to ensure mutual understanding, thereby adding value to the organization and individual by promoting skill and career development, providing frequent feedback and nurturing teamwork.
SPL is a FMCG which has faced the problems such as:
High rate of labour turnover
Decreasing the level of profits and sales
Not aware about the modern technologies and systems.
And how they over come from the above issues by using a proper performance management system?
This case study is described how SPL Pvt Ltd implement the performance management system and how it is important for the each department in the company reach their expectations and also to the organization’s expectations.
I have tried my best to complete this assignment successfully.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Analyzed & identified the issues involved in the case
Labour turnover was increased. It has increased by 12%.
This can be occurred because of the following reasons.
Not having a proper motivational programme to evaluate and reward the employees’ performances.
Monotonous. Because the employees repeat same task with out any
Conflicts between the employees and the management.
Not giving a proper induction and training.
Personal issues such as diseases, family problems.
Stress because of the work load
Sales & Profits have been considerably declined year by year. According to the given information sales has gone down by 5 million annually. This can be happened not having target basis performance system. So all the employees are rated averagely. Therefore they are not motivated to enhance their performances and to take out best outcome of them.
The company did not have a modernized packing plant. Packing plant was not upgraded according to the new technology not used new systems. So they are unavailable
