Career Assessment: My Academic Strengths

I thought the career exploration assessment was helpful. It was helpful because I am just starting my first semester of college, and I am always looking forward for advice and guidance to choose the best career path fit for me. I took the “My Career Planning Readiness” exam and received good results. According to the results, I am doing well. The “My Academic Strengths” exam reinforced my strengths and weaknesses in the many different subjects. For the “Work Interest Assessment”, I scored the highest for social, then conventional, and lastly investigate. I am not surprised to see my scores the way they are because I want to become a nurse. Nurses are helpers. They aid sick people to get well. Secondly, I also think that conventional fits me
because later on in my career, I want to become a family nurse practitioner at a clinic. Being a family nurse practitioner at a clinic, not only will I help patients but my job would also require me to be an organizer. I will have to be an organizer in order to help registered nurses (RNs) who will work under me at the clinic. I think one value that is most important to me is to be passionate. I feel that when a person is passionate they will progress in life. For example, I am extremely passionate to become a nurse. My passion brought me to take classes at NOVA. Now, I am progressing in becoming a nurse by completing my pre requisites. For future, I will research more about the opportunities of the nursing field in different locations (different states and cities).
