1. Create one professional goal using the SMART goal setting techniques you learned in Week Two. How did the results of the Career Interest Profiler and Career Plan Building Activity on Competencies contribute to your professional goal development?
My results basically stated that I am artistic, enterprising and social which basically sums up my desired career goal and that is to basically own my own business that invests in people. The results from my Career Interest Profiler and the Career Plan Building Activity on Competencies contribute to my professional goal development by showing me my strengths as an individual and how I could apply those certain strengths about my personality to my career life and goals.
2. Describe how you will balance academic expectations and your personal and professional responsibilities.
I developed a plan that will allow me to focus on time management by setting daily to-do lists, weekly and monthly goals that will help me balance my academic, personal and professional responsibilities by prioritizing what’s more important at the time because I can only plan and expect but I have no control over what happens in time that could cause me to fall off track when dealing with my personal life but being that I am determined to succeed academically I shouldn’t have any problem that will interfere with my academic goal.
3. How can understanding the importance of SMART criteria and your career interests and competencies help you move toward your career and academic goals?
