CAREER PLAN BUILDING ACTIVICTY
The Career Plan Builder Assessment revealed a surprising result. Humbly, I have enrolled into the Masters of Business Administration program. However, the career plan builder suggests that I would advance in the field of social services. Nevertheless, I should not deny myself the truth because. I currently have a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Unfortunately, I may need to change my major to what my first intuition lead me to, a Masters of Social Work.
I earned my Bachelors of Art in Sociology in three years. While attending Lane College, I quickly decided to give up my summer breaks. Shockingly, I enrolled in each summer quarter and took the maximum load of classes available towards my major. This guaranteed a fast track completion of my coursework needed to graduate within three years, instead of four.
Throughout my educational career, I have challenged myself and enrolled in academic programs that would prepare me for the healthcare industry. In January 2008, I researched the demand for jobs with a Sociology degree. I read several articles and talked to a few guidance counselors. Consequently, I didn’t know that it would take two years before I would actually get a job offer in my field of study. I have an interview at Jackson-Madison county Hospital for the Intensive Focus Specialist. This position is offered through their affiliate, Pathways Behavioral Health Services. So, I have to meet with Ms. Janice Shipman and bring my resume, college transcripts, and degree. Then, I will have to meet with Ms. Carolyn Husley, so she can determine if I will be a great candidate for that position.
Graciously, I worked in entry-level healthcare positions since 1998. Also, I would perform other skills such as cashiering, waitressing, and housekeeping. This prevented me from becoming burnt-out of performing duties of being a Certified Nurse Assistant. I always knew that
