My career goal is to have the ability to encourage, motivate, inspire, and stamp the lives of young teenagers. I chose to go into the career cluster of Education and Training. My career goal is to be a High School teacher and an Athletic Coach. I want to be considered one of the “cool teachers” that all the students go to with the school gossip and personal problems, but at the same time I want to be a teacher/coach that takes things seriously. I believe I would be successful pursuing teaching and coaching due to the fact they both share my interest of working with kids and being in charge. I also tend to believe with my grandmother and my mother also being teachers, it influenced my decision because…

Sticking to the criteria I sketched a plan for the content of the briefing. I decided to present using PowerPoint slides; I drew text boxes and started positioning where the header, text and pictures will be positioned, if any. Browsed through templates and picked a plain slide with borders and colour background. From the summarised version of the script I prepared earlier I bullet pointed information on to the slides using pictures to work as an extra visual aid. I had extra notes printed about the topic which I used to cover the whole topic. Also, a flip-chart exercise before going through the six categories to get the audience involved and to also help them realise that the topic is related to their everyday working style in leading/managing a team.…

The first major factor in communication issues that arise in business facilities is the ineffective communication to customers and employees. To excel in business, employees need more than just an understanding in management and economics. Business requires an understanding of people to convey the correct information and technology to the customers. Business also requires employees to clearly communicate their ideas and feelings to their co-workers so that they create productive interpersonal relationships. In a traditional business program, academics teach students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are needed to become an effective manager. Some of these might include managing stress, becoming a leader, motivating, coaching, and…

Growing up, I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My whole world evolved around sports, but I knew the chances of making money playing a sport were slim. My father owns a pipeline business, and my mom owns a boutique shop so I knew I would go into a business management plan. At ten years old, my father always took me to work with him on the weekends. That was one of the best things I got; young experience is what I needed. He taught me to operate heave machinery, mix concrete, work on pipelines; moreover, he taught me what it takes to be a self-mannered, respectful employee. Since then, I knew what to do with my life and I am very lucky to have such inspirational parents to motivate me for my goal in life. I look up to them in so many ways and appreciate all they have done for my siblings and I. Hopefully, I can provide for my family like my father has for ours.…

Careers take on crucial roles in people’s lives. Earning the degree and pursuing that lifelong dream job is what people think when they hear the word career. As I took the My Plan career assessment tests, the results were astonishing to me. There are different ways to view a person through a personality, interest, skills, and values test (My Plan, 2016). These assessments show what personality I have, the different interests I do, what skills I possess and the values I have. I will first explain what my personality assessment results came out to be.…
