My impression of the subfield of clinical and counseling psychology was a combination of surprise and captivation. The reading and video painted a picture of rewarding career opportunities available to help people within mental health. It was surprising to learn of entry level career opportunities such as human services assistant roles, entry social worker, and substance abuse counselor available at the baccalaureate level. A variety of the information presented on clinical and counseling psychology was new to me, and created learning opportunities
