Carrie: Differences Between The Movie And The Book

Carrie was a good movie although there are a couple of differences between the 1976 version of Carrie and the book. One difference is how Carrie kills her mother. In the book Carrie uses her powers to make her mother’s heart stop, but in the movie Carrie uses her powers to stab her mother with knives in a way that makes her mother look like one of the crucifixes that she has. Another difference is how Carrie died, in the book she dies outside after overusing her powers. However in the movie she is in her house and it collapses on top of her. The ending of the book also implies that what happened with Carrie might happen again because there is a child who is starting to show powers that are very similar to the ones Carrie had.
