In the morning on Thursday, March 11, the Tallahassee Police arrested Meyer at his motel after a lengthy chase in the outside connector. The investigators got a search warrant and searched his motel room and obtained further physical evidence that connected David Jefferey Meyer to the stabbing of attorney Fred Parker on the day of March 8, 2004. After, Meyers trial on August 4, 2005 he was convicted of the stabbing of Fred Parker in the first-degree murder. David Jefferey Meyers was then sentenced to life imprisonment without parole on August 12, 2005. …show more content…
Clarence B. Hiller, his wife, and four children were asleep in their home. It was late that night Mrs. Hiller had awoke and saw that the hall gaslight, was normally on but it was not lit. Then, she shook her husband and ask him to investigate why the hall gaslight was not lit. Clearance Hiller began a search of the house. As, Mr. Hiller was going down the staircase, he met a prowler who was armed with a pistol. In, the struggle of them both falling down the stairs Hiller was shot twice. When Mrs. Hiller heard the shots and all the commotion, she screamed. The prowler fled the scene, leaving Clarence Hiller dead of two gunshot
