Case Number 33: Hotel De Los Santos

Detective Chrono takes Case Number 33: Hotel De Los Santos. His partner, detective Echo, will not be going with him. “Chrono! I’ll catch up with you, I have to go to my sister’s wedding.”, “Okay, I’ll go on ahead then.” Chrono replies.

Chrono drives to the Hotel De Los Santos, and knocks on the front door three times, “Knock” “Knock” “Knock” No response. Chrono opens the door slowly, it creaking every inch of the way, and finds a man dead on floor C, room 333, with a gunshot through the stomach. Chrono takes note of this, writing in his notepad. He opens the door slowly, it creaking every inch of the way, and finds Chrono dead on the ground, with a bullet wound in his abdomen. Echo is confused as to how Chrono could have died, with his perceptive reasoning, he could’ve found who the killer was in an instant. Suddenly, two workers arrive, and Echo questions them. Chrono has been watching over Echo this whole time, trying to figure out how he took his own life. Then, he realizes that there aren’t two workers there. They are just in Echo’s head. In that moment, it hit him. The two workers were just voices in his head, and when he shot the first worker, he shot himself. Chrono also noticed how he lost the two workers from his mind, and Echo obtained them in his place. The workers must have been personalities, or voices, that the Hotel curses you with. He yells to Echo, “Don’t shoot them, just burn the house down!” Sadly, Echo can’t hear him, and will inevitably die in the same way that Chrono did. Chrono suddenly notices that Echo’s handgun is missing, meaning that Echo will not die, for the time being. He wants to escape from where he is to warn Echo by tomorrow, when he will have his handgun. Before he thinks of a way out, he is shot again. This time, he is shot in the head. Echo is doomed, with no way of surviving the next day. He will shoot or kill himself, when attempting to kill a criminal. That must

As I snapped myself out of this horrid trance. I noticed the guards mercilessly beating a man until the Police came and saved him. I noticed other people still in shock watching as the paramedics took Brother Malcom out on a gurney and my hope was reignited when I heard a woman say ‘He’s alive, He’s still breathing”. They asked for a volunteer to perform the task, and I gladly accepted.” Standing too far away for his daggers to be effective, although easily remedied very quickly, Nightburn could only smile and laugh at this simplistic attempt on his life. Why he felt so confident, he could not answer, but he knew if the man approached him, the man would die. Agitated by Nightburn’s demeanor, the man stepped forward, daggers raised. Instinctively raising his hand, everything froze, and totally incognizant of how he accomplished such a feat. Rising from his chair, he walked around the room and observed that nothing moved, even the flames of the oil lamps stood perfectly still. He walked to the door and opened it to see Sara stopped in mid-stride halfway down the corridor, then turned back to his room, noticing the clock pendulum had also stopped in mid-swing. Most curious, he thought, time had stopped and he didn’t know how he had achieved this or how he would correct it. Walking over to the would-be assassin, he studied his armor more closely, certain that he had not seen the emblem he wore or the knight in the castle before tonight as he carefully removed the daggers from his hands. With a swift slash to the neck, he ended his life, although no blood flowed from his wound nor did he fall or feel the fatal…
