City Surfing is the capability of the users (visitors/tourist) to move to or between different tourist interest points in a way simple, easy, intuitive and context-awareness. In this context the users are found in smart urban environments that are able to give them useful information and services. The proposed in the cases system is named CoLoSus (Contactless Location and Surfing System) and it is based on the use of Smart Posters with text and visual information related to the places where they are located. The participants in this scenario are 1) the users who use mobile phones with NFC capabilities and have installed the MIDlet application(front-end application appropriate software), 2) smart posters spread along the …show more content…
The users (tourists) use NFC capable mobile phones to interact with tourist smart environments. Near Field Communication (NFC) is an emerging technology that provides a natural interaction way between the user and its environment that makes it the ideal candidate for the development of intelligent ambients (ECMA 2004). Ambient Intelligence paradigm often refers to electronic environments that are sensitive and responsive to the presence of people (Wikipedia). Colosus system is built on pervasive computing because it has embedded microprocessors in common objects so they can communicate …show more content…
The mobile runs an internet protocol and provide to the user the available informations. Each tag for a specific interest point have a unique identifier. In this way the system provide the informations to users about the point, the location and the navigation to another point. Tcp????? TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) provides communication services at an intermediate level between the application program and the IP (the Internet protocol suite is often referred to as TCP/IP).
