1) O caso anexo relata a história das legítimas Havaianas. Faça uma breve analise do mercado considerando as variáveis macroambientais e uma analise do modelo Porter.

No Brasil, as Havaianas são usadas por todas as personalidades, dos cidadãos comuns às celebridades. A marca possui participação de 80% no mercado brasileiro de chinelos de borracha e comercializa cerca de 162 milhões de sandálias anualmente, sendo 10% em mais de 80 países dos cinco continentes. A cada três brasileiros, dois em média consomem um par de Havaianas por ano.

2) Pesquise dados secundários sobre o setor de CALÇADOS em particular de sandálias no Brasil (cite as fontes). Analise a categoria e construa o quadro de referência de mercado para a categoria.

Segundo o Euromonitor, o mercado mundial de calçados movimentou em 231.8 bilhões de dólares em 2008, um aumento de 3,2% em relação ao ano anterior. A empresa líder do mercado é a Nike, com 4,8% de market share, seguida pela Adidas com 3.8% do market share. A brasileira Vulcabrás tem 0,8% do market share, posicionada em quinto lugar. A maior concorrente da Vulcabras, a Grandene, tem apenas metade de seu market share, com 0,4%.

A marca com maior market share no mercado mundial de calçados é a Nike, com 4,4%, seguida novamente pela Adidas, com 2,4%. A marca brasileira com maior market share é a Olympikus, da Vulcabrás, com 0,4%, mesmo market share da principal marca da concorrente, a Grandene.

Ainda segundo o Euromonitor, o mercado brasileiro de calçados movimentou 16,3 bilhões de dólares em 2008, um aumento de 4,3% em relação ao ano anterior. A empresa líder de mercado é a Vulcabrás, com 10,4% de market share, seguida da Grandene com 6,2%. A Alpargatas, que produz as sandálias Havaianas, possui 1,6% do market share.
