1、 Of the three types of organizational justice, which one does workplace bullying most closely resemble?
Of the three types of organizational justice, the interactional justice is the most resemble to the workplace bullying.
Because the interactional justice describe an individual’s perception of the degree to which she is treated with dignity, concern, and respect.
2、 What aspects of motivation might workplace bullying reduce? For example, are there likely to be affects on an employee’s self-efficacy? If so, what might those effects be?
1)From OB we know that motivation are processes that account for an individual’s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal.
Let’s start with a quite famous motivation model-the hierarchy of Needs Theory, which is consists by five parts, the self-actualization, the esteem, social, the safety and the physiological.
From this case, first, I notice that it mentioned the “fear” will happened after the bullies, which means the bullies have impact on the safety.
Second, in this case it also mention the coworker’s attitude toward the victims. Within in the superior’s bullies and without the help of co-workers, the belonging, the affection, the acceptance and the friendship of the victims will decrease. In other words, we can say the bullies have big influence on social need.
Third, let’s take the esteem and self-actualization needs into consideration. It’s obviously that the esteem need can’t be satisfied under the bullies, because the esteem is the Internal factors such as self-respect, autonomy, and achievement, and external factors such as status, recognition, and attention. (OB) And because victims are under bullies, the self-actualization needs can’t be satisfied. 2) The bullies are very likely to be effects on an employee’s self-efficacy.
