Questions for Case Study 1 – Henry Williams Case Study
1. What are Henry’s strengths? Henry is independent and takes care of himself along with his wife. He is slowly losing his independence due to health related issues. He is alert and oriented x3. He had a stable job in his past. He is also making responsible plans for him and his wife’s future that will benefit them.
2. What are your concerns for this patient? One concern is the patient’s lack of knowledge about his health problems. Another concern is whether he can continue to live the way he has without assistance. Henry will not be able to care for his wife the way he needs to with his own health issues. Also his wife can no longer provide for Henry’s needs she used to fulfill, such as cooking for him. Henry’s comment about how he hopes his insurance will pay for his oxygen and inhalers raises concern for me. These health disparities may keep Henry from receiving proper care due to him not being able to afford proper health care. Also he still continues to smoke even with his illness. His breathing problems concern me too.
3. What is the cause of your concern? A lot of my concern is based on what Henry has told me so far. He doesn’t seem to know a lot about his different diseases or how to properly care for the diseases. He tells me that he hopes the insurance will be able to cover his hospital costs, which lets me know that may be an issue. He also tells me a lot about his wife and is very honest. He admits its getting hard to care for her and that she cannot provide for him like she used to. Then obviously his present illness, COPD, is why I am concerned about his smoking habit.
4. What information do you need? More information about Henry’s past medical history is needed. Also more about what role he plays at home. Also vital signs and a description of the pain he is experiencing.
5. What are you going to do about it? I am going to talk to Henry and find out all the

Behavioral chaining is a complex behavior that consists of many behaviors happening all together. The chain establishes all the steps in a procedure and list them so all the instructors are using the same information. Chaining provides a means of linking several discrete behaviors to a more complex series of responses, and are usually established after observing the steps of the event several times and work well when trying to teach self-help skills. The instructor should verbalize each step in the chain as it is being completed, and should be followed by praise for a job well done (1). Simply saying, behavioral chaining is breaking a task or job down into smaller steps.…

In my opinion, I would take the approach that is used so often in history. When people who have a power to control others would have a conflict and wish to resolve it they would, (well often they would offer their children in marriage) but what I mean is the same kind of thing only not with people but with products. Offering to make a profit off of each other’s success is a huge motivator for managers of companies to come to terms with each other once again, and work hard together because working together can lead to more profits, which in turn lead to more profits from each…

The jury in a sexual harassment suit brought by a former high-ranking New York Knicks basketball team executive recently awarded her more than $11 million in punitive damages. They did so after hearing testimony during what the New York Times called a “sordid four-week trial”. Officials of Madison Square Garden (which owns the Knicks) said they would appeal the verdict. However, even if they were to win on appeal (which one University of Richmond Law School professor said was unlikely), the case still exposed the organization and its managers to a great deal of unfavorable publicity.…
