Estimated project value : $300 million Completion date : 2010 Background Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Sports Complex (Dubai Sports Complex) is a multipurpose stadium completed in 2010, launched by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. It hosted the FINA World Swimming Championships 2010 (25 m), with participants from more than 130 countries, which held for the first time in an Arab country. The stadium will host international aquatic events. It has total capacity of 15,000 spectators. Beside aquatic events, it will also accommodate dry sports events such as basketball, volleyball, netball, badminton, social and exhibition events. This iconic project was built at an estimated cost of AED 1.1 billion.

Case Study: Dubai Sports Complex
Scope Dubai sports complex is one of the landmark projects in Gulf region. The innovative structure revitalized by Faulkner Browns Architects and the main contractor for executing the project is Saudi Bin Laden. Dubai Aquatic centre, said to be the world's best indoor aquatic facility, is the key element of the arena located at the edge of Dubai Land.
