Decision makers need information to make informed choices. Thus, investigative questions are the apparatus used to gather the information (Cooper & Schindler, 2014, p. 113). More importantly, the research question is the primary objective of any study and the investigative questions are the foundation of the research question (Cooper & Schindler, 2014, p. 79). The case study under consideration concerns National Cash Register Country Club (NCRCC). With the aging of current members and diminishing new membership buy-in, the NCRCC directed a study to produce recommendations to increase membership and ultimately revenue.
