Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder that can be classified as acute or chronic (Huether & McCance, 2012). However, whether it be acute or chronic both forms are caused by a gallstone, solid components of bile, occluding the cystic duct. Moreover, gallstones can be classified as pigment gallstones and cholesterol stones. Pigment gallstones occur when unconjugated pigments in the bile precipitate and turn in to stones (Huether & McCance, 2012). On the other hand, the majority of cholecystitis cases are caused by cholesterol stones, which results when bile becomes supersaturated with cholesterol and precipitates to form stones (Huether & McCance, 2012). Furthermore, when the gallstone occludes the cystic duct it obstructs bile outflow…
According to the article Unhappy Meals by Michael Pollan, the author claims that you can easily avoid processed products if you just “get out of the supermarket” and go to the farmers market. He claims that going to the farmer’s market is a better choice because you “won’t find any high-fructose corn syrup…you also wont find food harvested long ago and far away. What you will find are fresh whole foods picked at the peak of nutrition quality” (Pollan 23). Nonetheless, although farmer’s market might be a better choice, Pollan failed to take in the account, the majority of the population, who are not able to afford the better quality foods. For example, in the article Soda Politics, Nestle clearly expressed that, “we’re also subject to the effects…
When Bo and Moe told Kevin that he was inefficient in his work and that every hour over the planed time led to the money over the budget, he answered quickly that whether they asked him to cut down the work he did rather than whether they asked him to try his best to increase his productivity. The immediate reaction may reflect that Kevin does not consider ethics important as a CPA firm requires. In order to stay in the firm in the future, Kevin was willing to spend his private time without overtime pay. However, I strongly suspect that whether he will complete the work qualified and that if he becomes the formal employee of the firm, whether he will keep his ‘enthusiasm’ because of his reaction in this situation.…

My daily diet should contain a balance of proteins, carbohydrates (carbs), and lipids (collectively called macronutrients). According to Kirby (2011), micronutrients are substances such as vitamins, and minerals that are essential for healthy growth and developments. The body only requires small quantities of micronutrients and without them serious problems can arise. The role of each micronutrient makes proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids equally important in my diet. Proteins are important for repair and tissue growth, helps the body to make enzymes and hormones, as well as preserve lean muscle mass and is a source of energy. Carbohydrates are the body main source of energy and are easily broken down into glucose (sugar) which is used for immediate energy. They ensure that my muscles, kidneys, brain and nervous system properly functions also. All my life I have been told that fats (lipids) were bad for my health only to find out those small amounts in my diet is important for normal body function such as the absorbing of fat soluble vitamins and promotes normal growth and development. This paper is to discuss a three day food intake of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids.…
