Chipotle Mexican Grill has emphasized on their customers and are not afraid to remain sincere and acknowledge their errors, even when they are losing revenue. Last year Chipotle went through a crisis where they force the chains to close serval of restaurants due to a norovirus outbreak. Other food-borne illness cases were also related with Chipotle restaurants that includes E.coli, and salmonella. As a consequence, the company is under investigation. Also their sales and stocks have decline because of the outbreaks that occurred.…
The history of Chipotle plays a huge part in the fast-casual industry. Its Founder Steve Ells originally worked at the Stars restaurant in San Francisco. He left his job to pursue his dream of opening a fine-dining restaurant but didn’t have the funds to do so. He opened the first Chipotle in 1993 in order to help him fund his dream restaurant. Before he knew it Chipotle took off and became a leader in the fast-casual industry. He started with an $85,000 loan from his father and by 2001 McDonald’s was Chipotle’s largest investor. In 2006 Chipotle went public and McDonalds and Chipotle went their separate ways. Without McDonalds Chipotle might not be where it is today. Its early investment gave Chipotle the capital it needed to grow and with…
Founded by Steve Ellis in 1993, his main focus was to transform "fast food" to an experience more similar to fine dining. Taking inspiration from features commonly found in fine-dining, he wanted the strategy for Chipotle Mexican Grill to focus on the following five elements:…
healthy food staffs. Through its supply, it has won many consumers as well as investors. However, the current food supply has resulted in infection of individuals. An infection known as E.coli has cropped. The disease is associated to food staffs of Chipotle. The data given by the Centre for Disease Control indicates that fifty-two individuals in nine states have been infected with E.coli (Sander, 2011).…
Chipotle operates under a single business strategy in which it generated at least 95% of revenue from corporate owed restaurant. The advantage of having a single business strategy is that Chipotle focused their operation on one idea to expand their opportunity and growth. The Chick-fil-A, Inc. extends beyond their illustrious food menu as the company is heavenly involved in the community and committed to providing excellence customer service. Throughout the years, the company has donated over $68 million to over 700 educational and charitable organizations, such as: A Commitment to Higher Learning, Disaster Relief, and Military Appreciation. Convoy of Hope (2013), published an article entitled, “Chick-fil-A Colorado Relief Drive”. The article discusses that Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Colorado and Wyoming partnered Convoy of Hope in October to provide disaster relief to Colorado residents impacted by recent flooding. Dedicated employees of the company supplied food to the families of flood victims and first responders.…
The organization I’m choosing to evaluate is Chick Fil A, in 2014 Chick Fil A’s earnings per restaurant were 3.1 million (Peterson, 2015). Compared to their top competitors McDonald’s, KFC, and Taco Bell, Chick Fil A has managed to make notable earnings despite having few stores and less hours of operation. Chick Fil A has a devoted following and their customer service sets and exceeds the standard. With the statistics and rave reviews I just gave Chick Fil A one would question what else can they do to improve? I have two words dinner menu, for sure Chick Fil A is the place everyone will go to when they need to grab a quick lunch or fulfilling breakfast however, Chick Fil A’s dinner menu needs to be address. What are the chances that people…
This paper explores the principles and Christian values of Truett Cathy, and the positive effects on the Chick-fil-a organizations. At the time of his death, there were more than 1,800 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 40 states and Washington, D.C. Cathy’s approach was largely driven by personal satisfaction and a sense of obligation to the community and its young people. Chick-fil-A franchises are closed on Sundays. Cathy opened his first restaurant on a Tuesday, and found that, by Sunday, he was “just worn out.” He noted that, like himself, many of his customers preferred to observe the Christian Sabbath and, in their case, not eat out on Sundays, so his restaurants have been closed on Sundays ever since. This paper examines the relationship between Truett Cathy and how the Christian values within a workplace can positively influence the culture of the organization and also contribute to its success.…
In the 90's it was very hard to find a fast pace food environment that could actually serve quality food, that’s where Chipotle began to stand out. Bringing authentic and fresh Mexican ingredients is one of the many things that makes chipotle stand out to their competition. Chipotle meats are fresh, never frozen, left over night to marinate and grilled fresh every hour .They raise their cattle in humane conditions which help the quality of their meat, from my experience at dinging in this restaurant it always carries a peculiar taste as compared to other restaurants who have added hormones to enhance flavors. You can taste the unadulterated flavors in their vegetables, salsas, and guacamole versus the genetically modified condiments provided at other establishments. Chipotle is one of the few places that thrive on quality and quantity in a fast food environment yet still guarantying fresh flavorful organic ingredients. For those who are now a part of the health conscious wave this is without a doubt the best option for not only them but for…
Did you know too much sugar contained in diets such as; chips, sandwiches, burgers, pizza and soft drinks, can make your hair fall off? Most fast foods are sources of many health problems, such as overweight, heart diseases and Peptic Ulcers. However, there are some nutritious types of these foods including; grilled chicken nuggets, salads, fruit cups and milk because they contain a low level of calories. Several restaurants have learnt the importance of healthy eating, and are offering wholesome menus.…
It has come to my attention that there has been a decrease in productivity in the overall staff. At Chipotle, we must pride ourselves in being the fastest and most effective company around. In an effort to increase productivity and maintain 100% customer satisfaction, I suggest that all employees that were hired before April 10th, 2016, should undergo mandatory Productivity and Efficiency Reform Training.…
Miguel and his family left their home country of Chihuahua, Mexico for safety, better opportunities and to be free of religious persecution. (Why did you and your leave your home country?) Miguel’s parents had been talking about leaving their home land for a while, they were concerned with the escalating violence because of the drug war, an increase of kidnappings and homicides, made them feel unsafe not only in their own home but anywhere in the city. The family also practiced the Protestant faith which did not blend well with the locals, the majority of whom were Catholic. They felt they could not openly talk about or practice the religion of their choice. So in 2004 Miguel’s parents decided it was time to move the family to the U.S.…
The social zones that Chipotle utilizes are social communities, social publishing, social entertainment, and social commerce. In my opinion, I do believe these are the best fit for Chipotle. My reason for saying this is because social media plays a huge part in having a successful business. People are more sociable in this day and time. People will go to social media to get views and how other people rated that…
