1. After going over the case of Madge I have come to the conclusion that she has exhibit behavior that is abnormal. There are several factors that has been taken into account for my finding that I have used to arrive at this conclusion. 2.Based on my expertise and knowledge and Madge psychiatric history I can confidently diagnose her with Schizophrenia. This finding is based on her exhibit of the following symptoms that is characterized and associated with this mental illness.
Delusion of persecution- she believe someone was after her
Hallucination- she is hearing voice that is commanding her to do things'
3. The type of treatment I would like to recommend first is to get Madge off the street and out of the dumpster and admitted into a facility that will cater to her as a whole, this way she will also be monitored to ensure that the medication administered is being taken she is taking her medications. She will need a therapeutic environment so she can get the proper treatment. Next I would like to start her on some Atypical antipsychotic medication along with some antidepressant. Depression is a common symptom that is associated with schizophrenia so having her on the antidepressant will diminish the mood swing that may arise, After I have her stabilized and settled I would like to see that she start psychotherapy so she can work through some of her thoughts with a
