Mock sessions are a great way to apply the skills that are learned in sexuality class. I found it beneficial to be the client and the counselor because there is a set of skills that you have to use to do both tasks. I will discuss my experience being the client and the counselor. The mock session created an experience to learn how conduct a sexual assessment while watching and practicing therapeutic skills to know how conceptualize case with sexual issues.

The differences in their perspectives explain why they were having different perspectives in their sexual desires. During the session, my initial hypothesis was confirmed. The clients are experiencing anxiety created by fear that is motivating them to make changes in their relationship. The fear is creating anxiety which is creating a cycle in their relationship. The couple’s anxieties are motivating them to move away from each other and not turning towards each other. I want to show them their cycle and collaborate on a way to stop the cycle from continuing by discussing their fears and the emotions behind the fears. By discussing fears, I want to engage the couple to discuss the different levels of desire that is occurring within the relationship. I want to know what the definitions of sexual desire are.
