Saving behaviour is an interesting topic to be study on. In his research Kotlikoff (1989) described the question of what determines saving as a good jigsaw puzzle. It has a number of pieces. Some of the pieces have been found. Those that are available do not immediately fit together, but not all the combinations have yet been tried. The pieces that are missing are not necessarily in the bottom of the box and indeed miry be mixed up with identical-looking pieces in some other jigsaw puzzle. At the moment of being ask about their saving, most people will tell that they wish that they saved more (Motika, 2013). Saving is a personal choice and of course individual has the ability to choose differently, instantly at this moment or in the future if they can grasp the art of saving.
Here, in this research the art of saving is defined as the skills and imagination manipulated by the strongest influence to perform the act of preventing the misuse of money. It can be seen that people has become more aware of savings. The pattern can be seen as everyone has their own saving account. Even though the World Bank (2012) shown that the saving of net income among Malaysian citizen from year 2002 to 2008 is fluctuated over time, the increased pattern can be seen by the end of 2010 (as cited in Shafinar et al. 2013).
