His attachment from his parental figures would have been suitable for family group therapy and could have been preventive before his adulthood. It would have been useful to address his fascination with digging through the garbage for porn. These may have deterred his psychopathic behavior before adulthood.
Adult Ted may benefit from integrative therapy. The two forms of therapy that would be presented is psychodynamic therapy for him to “become aware of unconscious processes...make efforts to control them deliberately rather than them controlling us” (Pomerantz, 2017). After Ted realizes what childhood events may have prompted his behavior making the unconscious conscious then, the second form of therapy will be cognitive behavioral therapy.
