Case Study: Septic Infection
Since this is a progressive infection, the advanced symptoms will usually appear within 3–

4 days. For example, the affected area of body will begin to swell, and they may even have a

purple -like rash. Furthermore, the infected area may begin to have massive, dark spots, that will eventually turn into blisters filled with a dark and disgusting liquid called bullae. The bacteria

that causes this is referred to as Clostridia. Regions of the dead skin are likely to become black

which results in Gangrene. Also, in the first 24 hours of having the infection, the infected area is

bound to be extremely painful, but as the skin dies from all the toxins, the nerves cease to work

and the area eventually loses any feeling whatsoever.

For example, the person’s blood pressure will drop into the danger zone and the victim will eventually slip into unconsciousness because the body becomes very weak and is just unable to fight off the infection. In addition, the body will also go into septic shock from all of the toxins that the bacteria are spreading.
