    1. I would allocate the purchase price based on the fair market value of the assets on the date of acquisition. FASB standard 141R establishes the acquisition-date fair value as the measurement objective for all assets acquired. A large part of my work as a theater artist involves what is known as Community Based Theater, meaning work that sits at the intersection where expressive, stylish, and awesome theatermaking meets active community building. It’s my interest to make a production of Woyzeck as only the people of Port Townsend can. In my mind, the pond at the end of the play is none other than the recently torn down tidal clock off of Water Street and the prop of the fatal knife will be made at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking with local wood. The barracks in the play are Fort Warden. The tavern is Sirens (or the Uptown, I cannot choose), the clearing Woyzeck runs to is the end of the dock by the Maritime Center, and the people of this town are the people of that town and this is a story about them and about…

In 1903, a fire in the Iroquois Theater in Chicago, Illinois, kills more than 600 people ("Fire breaks out in Chicago theater", 2009). This accident blocked fire exits and the shortage of a fire-safety plan was the cause of most of the deaths ("Fire breaks out in Chicago theater", 2009). The Iroquois Theater was a luxurious theater that claimed to be fireproof before it opened and the fire inspector stated that the theater was "fireproof beyond all doubt" ("Fire breaks out in Chicago theater", 2009). This reminds of the Titanic because it was supposed to be an unsinkable ship but ended up sinking under tragic circumstances. During one of the performances, a spotlight operator noticed that one of the calcium lights ignited the fire ("Fire breaks…

Millions of people across the country roamed the streets in search of jobs, hoping to find some way to get the money they needed to feed their families. Throughout the late 1920 's an important theatrical movement developed: The Workers ' Theatre Movement. In the end, it diminished around the middle of the 1930 's, and one of the developments aiding the decline of the Workers ' Theatre Movement, was the creation of the Federal Theatre Project. The Federal Theatre Project was the largest and most motivated effort mounted by the Federal Government to organize and produce theater events. Once the government took on the duty of putting people to work, it was able to consider the movement. The Federal Theatre Project 's purpose was "to provide relief work for theatrical artists that utilized their talents and to make their work widely available to ordinary Americans, thus democratizing high culture." (www.answers.com) Furthermore the FTP tried to present theatre that was relevant socially, politically, and had popular prices, such as free shows. The majority of its famous productions, although not all of them, came out of New York City. New York had many units, such as, a classical unit, Negro unit, units performing vaudeville, children 's plays, puppet shows, caravan productions, and the new plays unit. The Federal Theatre Project was "the only fully government-sponsored theatre ever in the United States". (Witham 16)…

The world has changed in many ways since Shakespear was living. That is because we have had new ideas, new inventions, and we have changed in how we do almost everything.
