Case Study: Zandra Beauty A Natural Beauty And Beauty Company
Zandra Azariah Cunningham is C&O and founder of Zandra beauty a natural beauty & bath product company. Zandra was 9 years old when she joined the kids biz small business development center program at buffalo state college in Buffalo. This program helped Azariah a lot in learning essential business skills; such as business development, marketing, finances etc. She started her business with the name of “Azariah’s innocence with the help of her parents. In 2010, she started selling her products at the local farmer markets on Saturday in the summer. She continued developing her business by connecting with the indie business network and lucky break consulting. Her mother helped her a lot in starting and establishing this business. …show more content…
Her mother “Jamara Azariah” not only supported her idea of creating “Beauty Products”, but, also helped her in research, sale and in every aspect she needs. The role of her dad in starting her business is really pivotal one. When his father one day in a fun mood replies her request for more lip balm with a “no” and asked her to make her own Lip-balm. This infect motivated her to really think about some ways of creating her own products. So, Zandra got the much-needed support from her parents. The third thing is support from school and friends. Zandra is currently studying at Nadine Academy”. Her school has been very supportive. They allow her flexibility to Juggle schooled and Zandra beauty. She needs a flexible schedule from her school to manage her school work, business and public …show more content…
Three things have helped her in establishing her business. The first one is her passion. She was in love with makeup from her childhood. But, as she was not allowed to wear lipstick at very young age. She fell in love with lip balms. She tries to make her own lip balm. She researched on methods to make lip balms and finally she was able to make her own lip balm. Then, after seeing that she can now make a perfect lip balm her mother asked for more supplies and she was enrolled in kid-buzz program and finally was able to set up her own beauty line. So her passion paved the way for her business. Then, the commendable thing on Azariah’s part is that she followed her passion for lot’s of hard work. As a student, she has to manage between her studies and her business. But, she managed it gracefully. As a teenager, she has to made many sacrifices on her part. As she can’t go for parties, dinners, movies etc. instead, she has to utilize that spare time for Some product or to attend some event to sell it But, Zandra knows it’s all worth
