As the director and dramaturge for a fully mounted production of, Ruby Moon by Matt Cameron for a festival with a focus on Australian society I must select a relevant scene for an audience to promote the entire play. Ruby Moon was written in 2003 by Matt Cameron (1969), a Melbourne playwright who was heavily “influenced by headlines in the newspaper” regarding missing children which sparked many of his plot lines. His plays, in particular Ruby Moon, comment on the notion of a decimated community where there is no longer any communication between neighbours and how the suburbs are now deemed as unsafe and frightening. This is the paradox of Flaming Tree Grove, the street where Ruby Moon sets off to visit her grandmothers and is never seen again.…
Astronomy HOMEWORK Chapter 1 9th ed 5. In Figure 1-8, what is another name for the “Sun’s annual path?” Ecliptic. This term also refers to the mathematical plane of Earth’s orbit. 10. By about how many degrees does the Sun move along the ecliptic each day? The Sun moves 360 degrees in 365.25 days along the ecliptic, so Degrees per day = (360◦ )/365.25 days = 0.986◦ = 1◦ . Round to 1 degree since the question says “about how many...” 14. What are the vernal and autumnal equinoxes? What are the summer and winter solstices? How are these four events related to the ecliptic and the celestial equator? The equinoxes are the points on the celestial sphere where the ecliptic and celestial equator intersect. The vernal equinox is the point where the sun crosses the celestial equator northbound.…

Moon shadow had finally been old enough to fly his dad's kite. His mom didn’t want him to fly them when he was younger. Moon shadow, his mom, and grandma lived together while windrider, moon shadows dad lives in America and works at a laundry company. He and a lot of tang men go to America to make money for their family. Sometimes some or the whole family goes with them. But not windriders. One day this strange man named hand clap comes to the door. He had told them that he worked at the company with Windrider. He said that he wanted Moon shadow to go back with him to America. Moon shadows grandpa had been killed by the demons that lived there (white people) his mom was so sure about it. Neither was he but if it was a chance to finally see his dad he would do it.…
Objective: The objective of this experiment was to find out why the moon “shrinks” as it goes from its rising point on the horizon to its highest point in the night sky. The way I decided to test this was by standing in the same spot periodically throughout the night and had a ruler in my hand. I fully extended my arm so that I knew it was in the same spot in relation to my line of sight and then proceeded to measure the moon. I began my observations as the moon rose in the sky and after every hour I would return to the same spot to observe. If my observations are correct, it should prove my hypothesis to be true.…
I am writing this letter because I believe that galileo’s heliocentric model is correct. And I am asking you to pardon galileo for his scientific writing on the heliocentric model of the solar system. I believe that the geocentric model is not right because the earth is not the center of the universe, but the heliocentric is because the sun is the center of the universe and I know that because I have been collecting shreds of evidence. Those pieces of evidence are the Copernican Revolution, Galileo’s evidence and that the sunspots the moon craters.…
During the Apollo 13 mission, the crew was faced with odds that were not in their favor. They were faced with many uncertainties that would possibly be fatal if they went wrong. It all started when a crew member stirred the o2 tanks, and the tanks burst. With this predicament, they could not possibly land on the moon. Mission Control or "Houston" had to come up with a flawless plan to get the U.S spacemen back to the Earth.…
Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville Kentucky. He was born into a middle class black family. He didn’t have what some would call a rough child hood. He began boxing at the age of twelve. When Cassius was 12 years old, he and a friend went to the Columbia Auditorium to partake in the free hot dogs and popcorn available for visitors of the Louisville Home Show. When the boys were done eating, they went back to get their bicycles only to discover that Cassius’ had been stolen. Furious, he went back into the auditorium to find a police man. He found police officer Joe Martin, a trainer at a Louisville gym. When Muhammad Ali said he wanted to beat up the person who stole his bike, Martin told him that he should…

When Galileo first turned his telescope to the moon, he had no idea that he was about to see something that would cast doubt upon centuries-old beliefs. At the time of Galileo, science was based upon the teachings of Aristotle. According to Aristotle, the Earth was the center of the universe. All heavenly bodies, including the moon, were perfect spheres that moved around the Earth with circular motions or combinations of circular motions, and the Earth was the only source of imperfection in the universe. According to the moon truther, there are two reasons why he describes the moon as a hologram. The first piece of evidence of why he thinks the moon…
My experience with this optional observation lab was a great experience overall, just as I had expected it to be. I was much more interested in participating in the observations versus sitting in a classroom every week and attending the labs like in 1010.…

There is only one way to rearrange the universe, and that is to believe that it can move. In the vast expanse of universal antiquities, the Earth is as young as it’s sciences. In a revolution of time and space, it takes a concern of Earth’s spinning axis to enlighten an entire scientific undertaking of what lies beyond it. Nicholas Copernicus was not apart of the Ptolemaic Theory that the world was geocentric, he was the man who put his word against it. As a man of God, Copernicus wraps up the world in a “just another planet” nature, by calculating with mathematics the Earth spins on a particular axis. He publishes, Concerning the Revolutions of the Celestial Bodies in 1543 and passes away from an illness before he is charged with heresy by Martin Luther and John Calvin. A person who would have been a martyr, if not for sickness, for the Scientific Revolution, Nicholas Copernicus is the first of the late Middle Ages to introduce an idea for science and not for the sake of religion.…
