Cats Make Better Pets
Cats are a kind of pet that do not require as much attention as others. Cats make better pets than dogs. Cats are much quieter than dogs, cats take much better care of themselves, and cats require less attention. Firstly, cats are much more quiet than dogs especially during times when you want to sleep or relax. For example lets say and individual has a tiring day of work and wants to relax. They finally get comfortable when their dog sees a squirrel or another dog and starts barking uncontrollably whereas cats keep any moods they have to themselves. Cats do not feel a need to share their opinions with everyone around them they keep quit and do not bother with meowing at strangers. If a friend or relative enters your house your cat will keep to himself. If dogs see someone in their house they will bark maniacally at them until the dog is told to stop. Cats will keep their meows or hisses to themselves or if they do meow or hiss the sound is barley audible from the next room over. Lastly, cats make noise only when they need to not because they can. For example, if a dog is hungry he will not let you know he simply expects the owner to remember and if the owner accidentally forgets the dog will go hungry. Cats, on the other hand, will meow and purr constantly until their owner finally has enough and remembers that they have to feed their cat. Because cats are quieter than dogs, except when they need to be, they make the best pets.

Secondly, cats take much better care of themselves compared to dogs. Cats do not require baths due to the fact that cats clean themselves. For example, lets say an individual has a busy day and when they come home and notice their dog smells horrific however they do not have time to bathe the dog so the individual is stuck with a smelly dog all day running around their house. Cats will simply lick themselves clean and do not do much to get smelly. Secondly, cats do not need to be let outside to go to the bathroom. Dogs need to be watched over whenever they need to go to the washroom and if their owner is busy and does not have time to take their dog out then he is forced to possibly go inside. Cats have a simple litter box setup somewhere in the house that they can go to rather than dogs and cats take good care of their litter box until their owner comes and cleans it up. Lastly, cats do not slobber or drool on any furniture or on their owner. Dogs can slobber meaning they drip spit on you or your furniture and most dog owners hate that but cats will never slobber over any of your clothes or furniture so cleaning up after them is very easy seeing as how they take care of themselves properly. That is why cats make better pets than dogs.

Lastly, cats require less attention compared to dogs. Dog owners have to constantly take care of their dogs. For example, dogs require attention when they need to go to the bathroom, their owner would have to get up and go take their dog out for a walk which can be incredibly time consuming especially if the owner is busy. Cats simply go to their litter box and do their business there instead of outside. Secondly, cats are house-trained meaning they are trained to do everything they need inside the house without having any need to go outside. Lastly, cats do not demand lots of attention, they do not need to be taken for walks, their main hobby is sleeping and walking around the house and cats in general do not like human interaction all that much. Because cats require less attention they make the best family pet.

In conclusion, cats are much quieter than dogs, cats take much better care of themselves than dogs, and cats require less attention than dogs do. For those reasons cats make better pets than dogs. Cats can bring many years of join to families without ever irritating them.

There's a reason cats aren't called man's best friend – and it's all in their genes, according to a new study. Cats are simply not as domesticated as dogs despite sharing households with humans for at least 9,000 years, researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have found. The reason is because they have been able to retain their hunting skills and ability to see well during the night-time. Cats were first domesticated in the Near East about 10,000 years ago. The modern domestic cat is descended from a wild ancestor called Felis silvestris lybica. All 600 million house cats in the world have been traced back to five females of this species. They lived in the forests before they moved into villages. Ancient Egyptians worshipped…

For the years that we have been living we all have come to realize that dogs are more trainable than cats. Canines have been trained to care for their owners, fetch news papers and some are trained as watch dogs for the blind. Others are close in social status to a Deputy – sometimes referred to as Deputy Dogs. This is pretty remarkable to think that we have dogs that are capable of recognizing and, attacking criminals, identifying drugs and placing criminals under arrest. In most cases we have dogs that are trained to be remarkable house dogs. Dogs have been trained over the years to perform entertaining tricks such as, roll over, fetch, shake hand and even play dead. There are many dogs which have developed bad habits. Special attention and training programs have been developed to assist dogs in shaking these bad habits. These bad habits include, biting, chewing on furniture and rugs, digging holes, barking consistently without apparent reason and most of all, house soiling. Cats on the other hand belong to the feline family and are not as trainable as dogs. There is just a significant limit to their training. Yes they are able to be home trained - to prevent house soiling, but to prevent them from damaging your furniture with their claws, you basically have to clip the claws. When cats are kept as pets, they become attached to their human…

    Why Cats Are Bad Pets

In ancient Egypt, they held cats up high for poise and grace; they even had a goddess cat, named Bast (Bastet). When Egyptians lost their cat, they would mourn as if they lost a family member. To kill a cat, even accidentally, was an automatic death sentence. Cats were believed to be guardians of the gates of hell, and to prevent demons, ghouls, and spirits from escaping, and prevent them from entering homes of humans. So why people find this animal cute, adorable, and friendly is beyond me. Who would want a pet that was held up to be a god? That people have killed over and treated like a human? That is associated with hell and all its demons? Animals aren’t human, so these cats should be treated exactly like pets. Not equals, not “man’s best friend”, but an animal. You can’t take them everywhere with you like you can a dog, and if you leave them home, they may pee everywhere, claw up the couch, get into everything they shouldn’t, and make a ridiculous mess.…

For years people have been disagreeing about which is better cats or dogs. I think dogs are a whole lot better. One reason I like dogs better is because dogs can work as service dogs. They are trained to assist people with physical disabilities. Tasks that service dogs can do are helping with pulling wheelchairs, opening doors, and picking up objects as small as a dime. Service dogs help the disabled. Service dogs work with people that have disabilities such as Diabetes, MS, Cancer, Autism and Epilepsy.…
