World War II can be called one of the most important events in the history of humanity.
There were many countries that participated in World War II, including Germany, Italy, Japan,
France, England, and the United States. World War II began in 1939 and cause global devastation and destruction. This war was the biggest of all wars; it caused many deaths of innocent people. This war was concentrated on the military force and their advanced weapons.
The one that will have more allies and a bigger military force will win. World War II has had an effect on women’s rights, the United States’ economy, and the rivalry between the United States …show more content…
and the Soviet Union.
During World War II women received many rights.
Women were only known to be housewives, they were supposed to clean, cook, and wash dishes. During the war men were gone to battle field or camps and women were left behind. This granted women more rights. Women were now working “me” jobs in fabrics, factories, car wash, and some as an image to give strength to the soldiers. For women, war was a way to gain their freedom. Women would go outside the White House and protest. This was the beginning of a new era for them. World War
II gave women the chance to prove that they were equal to men. For the first time women were able to work as factory workers, nurses, and journalists. Women were now free, they could own a house, have their own money without depending on their husbands, and they were independent.
Women showed that they were capable of achieving their goals.
For the United States, the end of the war was beneficial to them. Before the war, the
United States population lived in poverty. People were homeless, didn’t have clean water, no toilets on public places, or a heating system. Color people were segregated in schools and public places. “

creative change.” “During the 1950s, African Americans quickened the pace of the struggle for equality by challenging segregation in court.” Thanks to World War II the depression was put to rest and changed the economy of the United States.
“The greatest period of unemployment and industrial dislocation which any economy has ever faced.” When the war ended, the United
States economy dominated the world economy and became the leading military power. The
United States position itself as the leader of the world. The United States started to work on things that were necessary for war. The United States could solve any problem now; it created buildings, fabrics, and with this there were more jobs available. People were provided with money for schools and colleges and even a home. This was called “Baby boomer” a land where dreams come true and people can have freedom.
The world continues to feel the consequential tremors of World War II through financial and economic woes.
After World War II, the United States clashed with the Soviet Union over such issues as the Soviet dominance over Eastern Europe, control of atomic weapons, and the Soviet blockade of Berlin. “The alliance between the United States and the Soviet Union during World War II developed out of necessity, and out of a shared realization that each country needed the other to defeat one of the most dangerous and destructive forces of the twentieth century.”
At the end of the World War II there was still rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union. The
United States and the Soviet Union became enemies because of both growing power. The
United States showed its power when it launched the nuclear weapon attack on Japan.
This kind of power struct the whole world, showing that the United States was increasing its military and nuclear power. The Soviet Union also wanted to have that kind power. It began creating nuclear weapons. The United States saw this as a threat and it began preparing for another war. This war
was called the “Cold War.” This war was called this because none of the of the powers attacked the other, they were just watching each other’s moves. The Soviet Union was a communist country and became allied with Cuba, also a communist country. Cuba has a nuclear weapon pointing towards the United States just in case the Soviet Union decides to attack the United
States. None of powers attacked the other, so no war began.
World War II has had many effects on different aspects of the United States, giving them power, new rights, and new enemies. Women have gain incredible rights that make them who they are today. The United States became enemies of communist countries like the Soviet Union.
The United States has become one of the most powerful countries on the planet, showing its military force and economic
power.
