• Myth of a fairy tale relationship- couples get marry thinking that their relationship will be like a fairy tale, like movies, but they do not realize that marriage leads with normal problems that appear in the journey of marriage. – Remote cause
• Lack of communication- Contributing causes because with lack of communication in a marriage the couples are unable to solve problems that may occur in the marriage. Many couples think that the minor problems are insignificant and they prefer to ignore them and no talk about it. Because of the lack of communication they don’t talk about problems and solution; also when it takes on making decisions it a big factor the communication.
Introductory paragraph:
Today’s society had increases the number of divorce, it’s more than ever before. It is reported that the divorce rate in America is 40 to 50 percent. People choose divorce as an easy way to get rid of the simplest problems that may occur in a marriage. Divorce itself is both a cause and an effect. Although the causes of divorce may varies from couple to couple, common causes of divorces are money, the myth of a fairy tale relationship and lack of communication.
Lack of communication in a marital relationship, is one of the most common causes of divorce, because when two people lack communication, they are unable to solve problems that may occur in the marriage. Many married couples think that the minor problems that occur in their marriage, are insignificant, and are not worth talking about; however, they fail to realize that even the smallest things can cause conflict between the two when they are not able to solve them through communication. Many couples lack communication when it comes to making decisions about shared finances. This can cause financial issues to arise, and arguments to escalade in the marriage. Many couples also lack communication when it comes to making decisions for their children.
