Episodic is another form of Homelessness that affect individuals that occasionally enter shelter homes and not on a consistent basis. Factors such as Unemployment, Substance Abuse, and Mental Illness, and Domestic Violence have been identified as the main causes leading to homelessness. Episodic Homelessness are individuals that often register in and out of a shelter. Individuals are likely to be young in age, and go through chronic unemployment, substance abuse, and mental illness.
