It was not any better for the farmers just because they could sell things from the farm. Most of the depression happened because of the money lost in the economy. ON top of that they could not grow any crops because it had not rained in 3 years, but farmers kept buying more seeds thinking that some might grow, but it never did.Hope, is one thing that is not that common. After it first started people thought it might get better, but having to live through it this long there is less people everyday. When they give up hope they stop trying to fix their life. He felt bad for these people that he started right away. His professor, Herbert Hoover thought differently. He thinks that the people should be backing up the government not the other was around. But Franklin didn’t care what his professor thought so he did what he wanted.First, he made a four-day bank holiday, during that time the bank bill was created. Then he declared the Civil Conservation Corps. This is a way that 3 million men from 17-23 could go to work.Another one he created was the Works Progress Administration. This would help find jobs for more than 8.5 million men to build things like, bridges, roads, public buildings,parks, and also airports.
Then in 1933 they spread the Federal Emergency Relief Administration gave 3 million dollars to states to give them some relief about the job problems. Then there was another one that helped with all the farmers that went bankrupt. The Home Owners’ Loan Corporation stop people from getting their house foreclosed on.
