Should Schools Allow Cell Phones Or Is It Too Dangerous?

We live in era where technological advance is unstoppable. What yesterday looked impossible, today looks like totally common thing. Every month we listen to news about new ultra slim television which was invented, about powerful notebook with the newest operation system or about elegant smartphones with many functions. And why are these products so popular? The main reason is that they make our lives easier. It is much more comfortable to use social networks when you want to talk with someone than arrange a personal meeting with the person. However, sometimes it seems that not all institutions are devoted by the technology. What about schools? They are still banning cell phones. And they say that it is for the student´s good. But does this prohibition really help students? Or it just harms them and the only person whom helps it is the teacher himself. On the other hand, mobile phones do not have to be always reliable. Somewhere can be weak signal, no wi-fi connection or the battery can discharge. And this could be really unpleasant during exams. Also some teachers think that cell phones can be misused during tests and it can be just a good way how to learn to cheat. But probably the biggest problem is that not all children have the same possibilities and the same social backgrounds for buying a powerful smartphone, so a big gap can appears between students. The richer students can laugh at the poorest even if these students are really smart. However discrimination is not the only problem. My friend was studying abroad and they had this system of learning. They were using their mobile phones during lessons. But some smartphones were better than the others, so stealing started. Many cell phones disappeared. So it can also increase a criminality in schools. In addition, students can forget how to use books or which kind of information can be found in which type of book when it

Having the curriculum at a student's fingertips, adds so much more than the textbook could possibly provide the student with.
