Cell phones should be allowed in school

Cell phones should be allowed in school because cell phones are fabulous learning resource especially smart phones which allow internet connection. Cell phones are so much more than just a phone now. Students can use tools of the cell phone such as calculator, map finder, reminders, dictionary, calendar and internet. For example, if a student forgot to bring a calculator to class, they can use the calculator in their phone. Furthermore, during class the teacher may ask the students to research something, while taking the whole class goes to the library or computer lab would take too long time, students can use their smart phones access internet to do research when doing discussion or a project. This would save time and allow the teachers more time to teach. Students can access a lot of great learning websites to get additional educational resources such as essay-writing websites to supplement the learning in class. In addition, if there is a field trip or a project, a camera phone can be used to take pictures or if a student is absent, a friend also can take a picture of their work and send it to their friend to keep him/her updated with missing work. Students also can find the meaning of the vocabulary with the dictionary in their cell phone anytime. Nowadays, students do not need to bring a thick dictionary which heavier schoolbags burden to the school. They also can access to the e-book and power point in the internet without bring in a lot of test book to the class room. In some school, there will not have the enough facility such as computer for the student to access the internet. Cell phone can help to reduce this problem. Beside that, cell phones should be allowed in school because it teaches students responsibility and encourages the responsible use of technology. Students can learn when and how to use their cell phones to enhance their learningThey will become more independent in their work and more motivated to learn (because of the graphic and colour in the website??). By allowing students to use cell phones, students will feel that they are being trusted and treated equally. If teachers are patient and understanding, students will surely become responsible users of technology. Nowadays, technology was widely use in our daily lives. Students should learn how to use the advanced electrical appliances so as not to become social outcasts. Knowledge about advanced electrical appliances will help to increase the competitive advantage of students when the day they went out the social work.
