Cell Phones While Driving Research Paper
Sine the very first cell phones, people have been using them and talked on them while driving; This has caused numerous accidents and has caused the accidental death of many. It would only seem right to make the use of cell phones whilst driving illegal, but what i think would be a better idea is have a age requirement. Most young people haven't developed good enough driving skills whereas people with more experience obtained, have slower reaction times, and lose focus easier. When adolescence first get their drivers license they have very little experience and have less skills then that of their elders. Most accidents are caused by teenagers with less then three years of experience driving, add a phone into the mix and their driving skills would decrease. …show more content…
Young drivers tend to lose focus easier then their older counterpart as well, It seems as though younger people are easier to get lost in their phones easier because of this; all the applications and social media pages could easily make them lose focus. Older drivers however, do not socialize on a regular basis as young drivers do therefore they'd use their phones less. Losing focus on the rode is also a key factor to majority of car crashes and can cause fatal errors at times. Another good reason for age requirements on drivers who are aloud to have a phone on person or in hand while driving. In conclusion, its believed that driving with a cell phone should not be in total abolished but to set age requirements for people who use their cell phones while driving. Safety is the number one concern for people who drive and having younger or less experienced drivers on the road a increased chance for car accidents already adding cell phones too it could result in more fatal or increased accidents. These laws should be implemented due to the fact younger drivers have less experience and skill sets, have a slower reaction time, and lose focus much easier then that of drivers with more

Distracted driving is not only teens but it is adults as well. In the state of Florida there is no ban or law keeping anyone from texting and driving. They tried before for a bill with texting and driving and if convicted they would face up to $250 or to 30 days in jail. This bill did not last very long and today texting and driving has caused more wrecks. While driving, adults and teenagers cannot resist the urge to pick up their cell phone and send a text or respond to one, and as soon as the driver’s eyes meet their cellular device, their focus on the road is drawn away. There should be a law for this because more and more innocent people are losing their lives over someone whom is texting and driving. If we had this law it would help our rates come down and Florida would have safer roads. Of course some opponents feel that creating a law against cell phone use infringes their personal rights. Others think that banning someone from using their cell phones is equivalent to telling someone that they can't adjust their radio or chat with someone else in their car. Which is all reasonable statements but their missing the fact that this is killing the lives of innocent people and must be stopped for the stake of the citizens in Florida.…

A teenager just learning to drive does not know what to pay attention to, or what to do if a situation erupts in front of them. Having a cell phone in their hand will only make matters worse. The attention span of most teens is already low to begin with, so keeping phones away from them while driving will help them stay focused on an important task such as driving. They may say they know what they are doing and that they are good drivers but anybody, even the most experienced drivers have to pay attention to the road ahead of them. As a teenager myself, I know I face strong consequences from my parents if I am ever caught texting and driving. I believe that all states should have cell phone laws and that they should result in loss of driving privileges if you are caught not abiding to those laws. Driving is very vital to daily life, as you may need to go to many places that are not in walking distance; but when driving, you have more than just your life at hand, you are also driving around many people and one mistake could take your own life or somebody else's. People need to realize that and know that they should give all of their focus on the road when behind the wheel of a car, that will make the…

Accidents happen everyday on the road. Some are from bad weather conditions, others are because the driver is under the influence of alcohol, and many are caused by distracted drivers on their cellular phone. If people were more aware of how many people are injured or killed by someone who was using their phone while driving , then they wouldn't use their own phone while driving. If making a law that says it is illegal to use a handheld phone and drive will make people stop becoming distracted while driving, then it should be put into effect. A solution for a driver who wants to use their phone while driving would be to use the hands free option on their phone, or to purchase a tool to hold the phone while driving.…

Even though a lot of places in the United States are completely illegal to use the cellphone while a person is driving, there is still a lot of states in US where this rule is not applied, and it has been very dangerous for the drivers.
