1. How did the war affect arrow, Dragan, and the cellist? How did their life change?
• Arrow, before the war was nothing like what she became after the war. She uses to be happy with her life in Sarajevo, but because of the war, she has become a sniper. Arrow quickly began to forget who she was killing. She knew they were the opposition but she but she just began to just see them simply as target. The war also made her to forget to who she was. The cellist also got affect by the war. The reason he started playing his cello was because of the twenty-two people got killed in a bomb explosion. The people of Sarajevo are going through a terrible time of their life. Cellist played a huge role in The cellist of Sarajevo; the cellist plays in the middle of the street for twenty two day because the bombing at the bakery that killed twenty two people. Even in the hopeless time the music played by the cellist lifted their hopes up. Making them feel like the war was soon about to end. When people heard the cellist play, they recollected their remembrance of the beautiful city before the war. There is a part when Arrow sees the sniper who is assigned to kill the cellist; however she was puzzled of the fact that the sniper is not taking aim at the cellist. Later on she realizes that he is mesmerized by the music. Furthermore, Kenan one day leaves the market and follows the music until he is in front of the cellist. The music played by the cellist cheers up Kenan, when he hears it. Kenan started to day dream that his city is not destroyed and people in the city are not depressed. Reality hits him when the cellist stops
