Types
Stimulants can range from mild legal forms like caffeine to severe illegal drugs like methamphetamines. Each type has different effects at different levels and all can be lethal if taken in excessive quantities. The first type is the cocaine family which consists of cocaine HCL, cocaine freebase or crack, and cocaine paste. Then there are a wide arrange of amphetamines which are synthetic versions of the ephedra plant like Adderall which is used to help with ADHD (attention deficit hyper activity) symptoms (Inaba & Cohen, 2014). The first type is called indoles and this includes LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and ayahuasca. Peyote and MDMA (ecstasy) are called phenylalkylamines and belladonna and Datura are anticholinergics.
