Central Police Station Compound
In Hong Kong, a huge population lives on very scarce land. The price of land in Central is one of the highest in the world. As the result, most of the old buildings are demolished for new expensive buildings. But some buildings should be kept since they are historic and the historical value cannot be measured in money. The Central Police Station is one of the best buildings because it represents the just and fair of the world famous Hong Kong police.

They are Former Central Magistracy, Victoria Prison and Central Police Station which form a group of historical architecture that represents the law and order of Hong Kong in the early days. Nowadays, we don’t see this architectural feature on the new buildings so they must be kept as a distinct part of Hong Kong.
The CPScentral police station presents a classical style. One example is the Doric - style columns of the buildings. These columns make the building solemn. When the prisoners were brought to the station, they felt serious and would not cause trouble. Moreover, there are many carving and mascots on the walls and inside the buildings.
